# Micropay

> Pay-per-use AI for chat, image generation, and speech-to-text. Settle each request in USDC on Algorand via the x402 protocol (GoPlausible facilitator). No subscriptions or prepaid API keys.

Micropay exposes an OpenAI-compatible HTTP API and a web app. Clients connect an Algorand wallet, approve the quoted USDC amount, and receive the model response after settlement.

## Paid HTTP endpoints (x402)

- POST /api/v1/chat/completions — OpenAI-compatible chat completions; optional stream
- POST /api/v1/images/generations — OpenAI-compatible image generation (b64_json)
- POST /api/v1/audio/transcriptions — OpenAI-compatible speech-to-text

Unauthenticated calls receive HTTP 402 with exact payment requirements (USDC ASA on Algorand). Retry with a valid PAYMENT-SIGNATURE after settling through https://facilitator.goplausible.xyz.
